June: Gay and Lesbian Pride Month

I know this is a way off month. But I decided to plan this one out because, frankly I don’t want to screw it up. June is coming and I want to do something great and fun and sexy and very naughty. We are going to have sex with everyone. Well not really but we are going to be reading and interviewing a lot of Gay and Lesbian Fiction here. And we will be going a lot of interviews to celebrate those authors that dare to write outside the box.

Presidential blurb:

In June of 2000, Bill Clinton deemed the month of June, “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month.” The month was chosen to remember a riot in 1969 at the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan that is thought to be the beginning of the gay liberation movement in the United States. This month is meant to recognize the impact Gay, Lesbian and Transgender individuals have had on the world. June is now the month of acceptance and the month to welcome diversity in communities regardless of sexual orientation. Gay and lesbian groups celebrate this special time with pride parades, picnics, parties, memorials for those lost from HIV and AIDS, and other group gathering events that attract thousands upon thousands of individuals. The international impact has been so influential to so many people that it makes for a perfect time for an organization to be a part of the festivities.

So I am just brainstorming her and I need some help to figure out what to do. I want all the subject matter with in our realm of book reviewing covered. I also need guest bloggers; people willing to do some interviews; prizes to give away; and books to review; and most important I need readers and authors to help get the word out. Now we are not going to get on our soap-boxes and preach. (unless its about a better position and tantric exercises) But we are going to have fun and naughty. If you guys and gals have any ideas post them to me or email me at Rayna@naughtyeditions.com thanks.

  1. i would love to see a review of Todd Gregory’s “Every Frat Boy Wants It” Seeing as i live in a home we’re great books like this aren’t welcome (though i do hide them in a secret place.) i think it would be cool to see it reviewed. i haven’t had the chance to read it myself but if the review says it’s great I’ll take the chance on getting caught and buy.
I would also like to see a review on “With Caution” and “My Fair Captain” by J. L. Langley. The same as “Every Frat Boy Wants It” haven’t got the chance to read these but if they get good reviews I’ll take the chance and buy them to.
