5 Minutes with Charisma Knight

5 Minutes with the Charisma Knight

Short Bio:

Charisma Knight has been intrigued with the world of vampires, reincarnation, castles and warriors since the age of thirteen, her lucky number! There is something deeply intriguing about diving into the deep dark fantasy world and relinquishing total control to an awesome creature of the night!

Free-spirited Charisma lives in the Maryland area, with her children. When not writing, she is just as big of a kid as her daughters. Favorite past times include bonding with her children, meditating, watching movies, working out, and listening to various types of music. Other passions include web design and massage therapy. Charisma believes in establishing and nurturing one’s dreams and desires to their highest potential.

What project are you currently working on?

I just started this WIP on the 24th of Feb. (C’mon, give us a hint!) Oh, alright. If you insist! Lol  It’s a contemporary piece called The Office Manager. Actually, I need to decide between that title or “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”. Both are befitting of the story. My heroine, Wanda Taylor, an office manager has the hots for one of her district managers from her office. Strong sexual tension has sizzled between them for two years, however, neither acted on their instincts. Finally, John Murphy makes his move on her and they start dating. Wanda  discovers he isn’t the person she thought him to be. One day, she has a rude awakening…..

What is your favorite snack? Sour cream & onion Utz potato chips with sour cream & onion dip.

I have heard from numerous authors that chocolate is the staple of their diet. Is it in yours? Yes, peanut butter cups!

Who or what influences you when you write? Music, old stories from my great aunts, along with some meditation. Some real life experiences.

When you have writer’s block how do you break free? Extensive Meditation

Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven’t yet? Yes, Westerns and Sci Fi

What is your favorite movie of all time? That’s a tough one, because I have many movie favorites of all time. Okay, I’m going to go with Titanic.  I always get misty eyed at the end. Also, I get goose bumps when Rose dies in her sleep and her spirit returns to the wreck where her “true love” awaits her.

What is your favorite way to relax after a hard day working and writing? Tae-Bo & meditation & my daughters

Do you have a celebrity crush? Yes, Hugh Jackman.  ; )

Out of all your books, do you have a favorite one?  If not, then which one is closest to.

An Average Vampire and The Office Manager.

What character out of all your books is the closest to your personality? Wanda Taylor.

How much does reader response mean to you over your books?

Plenty.  I want to know what readers want and will strive to improve my writing.

What do you hope readers get from your books after they read them?

A brief moment away from the everyday hustle & bustle of life. Also, some of my WIPs are a little more reality based although paranormal is sprinkled within. The Office Manager has a message, beauty is only skin deep and should not be based on how a person looks. Usually, we lust after someone because they are handsome or beautiful. You don’t realize how much of an ass they can be until you have a rude awakening. I just started this story and would like readers to have something to look forward to.

What is your favorite color besides YELLOW? I love BLACK!!

Boxers or briefs? Briefs

Patience is a virtue — especially if you’re waiting for your soul mate’s rebirth.

Vampire Angelus Cronen loved, lusted for and inevitably lost his true soul mate over two centuries ago. She was the beautiful slave, Vivienne, who set his body on fire and branded her name on his soul. He was told to have patience during the long years that separated him from her resurrection. His lust only grew to have her in his arms again. His dark soul’s deepest desire was to bring her spirit once more under his control.

First he has to conquer the dard side of his spirit, the beast within who can and will destroy his soul mate with the least provocation.

Seduction can lead him to a love meant to last eternity or force him to murder.
