Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you’d think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn’t work that way when your job description is Pythia-the world’s chief clairvoyant.Cassieis busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.
But someone doesn’t wantCassieto become Pythia, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens- including attacking her mother beforeCassieis even born.
CassiePalmeris a young woman late 20’s who should be partying with her friends and dating. Instead she is with a master vampire, and hunted by gods, demons, and some crazy anti-her wizards. And I should also mention she kind of adopted or maybe is the guardian of several misfit kids that happen to be magically inclined and that she has to learn to be some all powerful seer. Yeah you think you got it bad.
Hunt the Moon is the fifth novel in this series. I normally really love these books but this one has to be my least favorite. It was so packed with action I got lost many times. I miss the conversations and sarcasm between the characters. While I love movement in my stories I felt this was just too much. However, I also know that it seemed to be needed. We needed Pritkin to do what he did to saveCassieand the only way I can conceive of doing that was to keep everyone tired and busy.
I still look forward to reader the next book, because in this one some awesome stuff happened. We see another side of Pritkin, I learn to hate Mircea some more, get a new ally (I think) and finally really get some proof Jonas is off his rocker.
Also here is a free novella called a Family Affair: A John Pritkin short. It is free on her website take a look.
“A Family Affair” is a novella set between Curse theDawn,CassiePalmer#4, and Hunt the Moon,CassiePalmer#5. It contains spoilers forCassiePalmerbooks 1-4.
