ELIZABETH HUNTER

Imitation & Alchemy - 3DHappy New Year, everyone!

It’s been one of those weekends for me. Nice, but busy. Hence the delay in the next chapter of Imitation & Alchemy. Sometimes you need to post on your website, and other times you need to watch Lord of the Rings with your ten-year-old and put Legos together.

I hope you enjoy Chapter Seven! Things are definitely heating up in Italy, even if they’re pretty darn cold in California.

I’ll be posting on Tuesday about a fantastic new contemporary fantasy that’s available for pre-order now. I had the opportunity to read it over the holidays, and I can’t wait to tell you more about it.

From Chapter Seven…

“They can’t see us together,” he said. “Ruby, they’re from Naples.”

“Got it.”

With a quick flip, Ruby climbed up the wall, the tips of her fingers clinging to the bricks before she leapt on the two…

Reference Barnes & Noble. Reading Between the Latest Headlines

In Promo on December 28, 2015 at 12:46 am

Bob Mayer

We’re reposting this because another article just came out on 22 December, regarding the same topic from Book Business:

300px-Barnes_and_noble1

The notes on the first posting of this blog were interesting– a lot of emotion about whether someone “liked” or “disliked” B&N. But that has nothing to do with business. A motto we’ve lived by at Cool Gus is: It’s not a good thing, or a bad thing, it’s a real thing.

What we mean by that is that in Bob’s 30 years in publishing, every single event had two sides to it; the key to success is to factor it into our business plan, regardless of how we feel about it. So:

Our take at Cool Gus: Barnes & Nobles current financial situation is something to be concerned about in publishing, even for those who earn the majority of their income from eBooks. This situation is not Indie VS…

Enough Rope to Have Fun…and a Kick-Ass Cowboy Event!–Em Petrova

Love the cover.

Wild and Wicked Cowboys

Hey y’all! It’s definitely cowboy season here because the rodeo is coming this weekend! Guess who’s getting out her cowgirl boots and practicing twirling some rope? Well, not this girl–on the rope part, anyway.

But I am definitely getting ready to sit in the stands with a bunch of country people and look at some tight Wrangler butts. Aren’t you?

Oh look, he’s all ready for some fun, too!

For me, this summer is all about lengthening the rope. What does that mean? That I’m not holding back for a minute. I’m grabbing on to what I want and having a great time doing it, even if it’s out–WAY OUT–of my comfort zone.

It means driving places I’ve never been and asking near strangers to go places and do things with me. Why? Because why not? We…

“A true friendship is not bound by convenience. It’s not about how far this person will go to help me achieve my goals, or how this person is full of drama, but they are popular so they’ll stick around for the sake of what could be a potential benefit to them,” she says emphatically.

I stand in front of her, covered in sweat. I’m practically pacing to the point where I just want to haul ass out of here. Not because I’m afraid… I’m just a tad worked up. However, her impassive eyes keep me hooked. She’s obviously pissed off.

“Grab that chair and sit your ass right down. Now, Rayden!” Brooklyn commands, looking at me square in the eye. When I sit, she continues.”A true friend is the one who offers their shoulder to let you cry. They are…

Can Cyndi keep the lusty raptor in line? Will Rull use his psychic powers to bring Cyndi to her knees? Will Dr. Melissa White be upset when her saurian boyfriend eyes Cyndi’s young, curvy body?

Review:
SPOILERS AHEAD CAPTAIN!!!!

I got this book for free on Kindle unlimited. I really didn’t expect much since I had the misfortune of reading “Taken by the T-Rex”.  In some ways or didn’t disappoint what little expectations I did have. It was short, and there was sex between a human and a beastly looking  dinosaur.

However,  if the author hasn’t mentioned the claws or snout, I wouldn’t have thought this was a animal at all. You could possible substitute freakish alien for the idea of a dinosaur and the book would still work.

I also didn’t expect the threesome or the last lines in the book about adding him to the group of fuck buddies or the sitter getting a girlfriend out of it.

Sex: 4 (even though it was out of my comfort box was still hot)

Plot: 1 (haha that’s funny,  a plot in dino erotica)

My overall enjoyment: 3 (because I was freaked out how well I enjoyed this,  and I didn’t really picture a dinosaur just an alien being with dino like features)

I’m going to hell,  I know.

What quantifiable and verifiable ways is Amazon using to determine if I know the author of a book, or not?

imy santiago

A couple of weeks ago I read the third installment of a series I really loved. I will refrain from sharing the name of the novel and its author.

Like any reader, as soon as I finished reading, I wrote my review. When I tried posting it on Amazon (I did buy the eBook, just like any normal and decent human being would), I received a rather concerning email.

I will not share the screenshot of the email as it does contain the title of the book and name of the author. In its place I have copied the body of the email below.
